Sealed Discount bid on ECL SOR are invited from Registered Transport Contractors of ECL (for Sand) for transportation of Sand by Tipping Trucks / Trucks for the following routes/locations for the period from 01.04..2012 to 31.03.2013 at Satgram Area.


The above quantities are as per plan and projections. This may vary due to unavoidable circumstances beyond control of management, for which no claim from contractors will be admissible by the management.

Tender document should be displayed in web site. Tender document can be down loaded from ECL Website www.easterncoal.gov.in during the period of publication of tender document.

The Tender Documents may be obtained on written application from the office of GM, Satgram Area, which shall be available from 25 .02.12 to 28 .02.12 from 11A.M up to 1 PM(during Office hours) except Sunday & holiday.

All the discount bids of estimated value above Rs.1 crore shall have to be received at 2 (two) places in tender boxes, such places are ECL (HQ) Sanctoria and office of the General Manager, Satgram Area. in same schedule  date & time. The tender box at HQ is to be kept under the custody of Security Department, ECL, H.Q. in a room at the entry of the Main gate CMD, Office, Sanctoria.

No rectification by the bidder will be allowed to make the bid valid / responsive.

Earnest Money: (1% of the Estimated cost rounded off to nearest  hundred rupees, Maximum of Rs,10.00 lakhs) as Earnest Money: to be deposited in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Eastern Coalfields Limited, Area –III”  payable at Asansol or any RBI approved scheduled Bank.

Earnest money will be forfeited in case of failure of the party to start the work within 10 days of issue of work order. Earnest money of un-successful bidders will be refunded after finalization of bid.

Receipt of Tenders: Bids are to be received in sealed covers from 11.00 A.M  up to 1.00 P.M(during Office hours)  On 29.02.12  at the Office of GM/Satgram Area & H.Q.( which ever is applicable).  Bids should be dropped in the Tender Boxes kept for this purpose.

Opening of Tenders: Tenders will be opened from 11 A.M. On 02.03.12 at G.M Office, SATGRAM AREA. Tenderer or his authorised representative shall remain present during opening of the Tender alongwith the originals of the documents submitted in Part-1 for verification etc.

The Company is not under any obligation to accept the lowest bidder / bidders & reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever, and also to distribute the work and allot the work / works to more than one tenderer at its sole discretion.
